A Map for Each Property

The Property Map shows water, electricity, and hazardous items and needs to be prepared for each property and placed in the meter box.

This section of the web site shows you how to prepare your own Property Map. Or you can ask your Neighbourhood Coordinator for help.

Once you have completed the map please share it with your Coordinator and the Brigade on  kh.rfs.community.gmail.com.

The water (SWS) information is used to update the Kurrajong Heights Water Map and is essential information for the RFS to help  look after our homes.

Sample Map

See below a sample Property Map which shows all the water sources. If there is a creek running through the property it should be marked. For dams and swimming pools make a note on access. Can we get a fire truck close to the water?  For water tanks show the capacity and note the access to the water. Is there a Storz fitting on the tank? Mark all fire hose locations around the place.

Note all hazardous items including gas bottles and wood piles. Show all the electricity items including where to switch off house batteries and solar panels.

Give details on truck access. We need 4m of height an 4m of width to get a Cat 1 tanker into the property.
